Online Dental Insurance, Dental Insurance and Cavities
Question: I need two fillings for small cavities but don’t currently have dental insurance. What would be the best dental insurance plan for me to buy.
Reply: What type of dental insurance would be best would depend on a few factors that may be personal to you. Such as if you are currently seeing a dentist that you would like to maintain seeing. If that is the case you may need to buy a dental PPO plan if that dental office dose not accept HMO dental plans. With a PPO plan however they will typically have waiting periods. General waiting for basic dental services like a filling is six months though that can vary depending on the plan.
HMO dental insurance plans however, will typically not have waiting periods which will benefit you in your current case. Yet with an HMO you will need to choose a plan provider since there is no out side network benefits.
