Question: I recently bought dental insurance,  I had current dental issues that I wanted to take care of,  so I went to the dentist and had my free check up, X-rays and cleaning,  minus my $50.00 deductible.

I was told that I need over $5000.00 worth of dental work but that my policy as a max of $2000.00.  The dental office staff said that I was lucky that I did not have waiting periods but that  a course I will be going over my max limit if I was to get the dental work done. The dental office does not offer a in house payment plan option.  Although I have one credit card I can not afford to put more money on it because making the monthly payments on it is all ready really hard for me to do.

Reply: Your problem is not too uncommon. However there is a easy way to deal with it. Have the dentist work with you and your plan. Do only what is needed the most keeping it under the max limit. Then when your policy rolls over you can do the next needed dental service.

You do not have to have $5000.00 worth of dental work done in one day spread it out over the course of one or two years whatever you can afford. At least this way you will be able to get some dental work done. After all you been waiting this long doing nothing.. What does it matter if it take a little time to get all your teeth fixed when the point is at least you are getting them fixed.

I been shopping out dental insurance online for the past few days and I see many dental discount plans which I really do not want for my family and I also see very high cost dental PPO plans that although the coverages seem fair I can not afford the cost of the plan.

I have really small top teeth.  I do not know why that is.  My bottom teeth look like normal adult teeth but if you look at my top front teeth they are just too small and look like baby teeth even though they are not.

My teeth are healthy and I have no cavities.  I would like to know what could be done to make my top teeth not look so bad.   It just odd looking and people have asked me if I never go my adult teeth in the front.  I feel bad about it and think they are rude but I understand people asking.

I am new to having to buy any type of insurance.  I get medial though work so that was not a big deal.  My insurance agent that got my auto and jet ski does not sell dental insurance but told me to go on line that everyone sells it there.
