Question: I know that I have two cavities that need to be filled. Four months I was told by my dentist that I should have filling for the two small cavities I just did not have the money at the time to get them filled.
My mom said that I should get dental insurance so that my cost for filling would be low. What dental insurance plan offer the best benefits for fillings to be done? I need a dental insurance plan that does not have waiting periods for fillings.
Reply: You may want to review HMO’s insurance plan options. HMO’s plans typically do not have waiting periods and the are the more affordable dental insurance option.

Comparing Individual Dental Insurance Plans and Their Benefits.
When you are shopping for a dental insurance plan whether it just for you or you and a family you want to compare not just the cost of the plan but the plan benefits. Make sure you review what each plan options has to offer as well as their limitations and exclusions. Just because a plan may cause more dose not mean it offers more and a lower cost plan dose not mean it is a cheep plan when it comes to benefits. Prices varies depending on your own personal needs and what you may want from a plan.
Such as if you want to keep a current dentist a lower cost HMO may not work because your dentist would need to be a provider. PPO plans although normally more costly not only have providers but most let you choose a dentist that is outside their list of providers. There by letting you keep your current dentist regardless whether or not they are a provider of the plan.
