Because medical benefits differ significantly from policy to policy, each patient should review their orthodontic insurance coverage. However, if a patient has orthodontic insurance, Invisalign Braces should be covered to the same extent as conventional braces. Most insurance companies cover most or all of the most of Invisalign, treating it as if you got traditional braces.

Each aligner is individually manufactured with exact calculations of your teeth. If your current dental insurance plan does not offer coverages for braces or Invisaligns you may want to review our different dental plan options. We offer dental discount plans that offer saving for any type of braces for any age group.
Online Dental Insurance, Thinking ahead when Buying Dental Insurance.
Saturday, Mar. 5th 2016 8:34 AM
It may seem surprising that many people do not have dental insurance. Dental insurance benefits are not always offer though work so people do without until a major dental need arises.
The problem with waiting until you need dental insurance is that by then it can be to let to get the type of dental insurance you want. People find out too late in order to stay with their dentist they may need to get a dental PPO plan.
However most dental PPO plans have long term waiting periods, so when not bought early on you may not get the coverages you are looking for. One thing I suggest is if you have a dentist that you do not wish to change find out what types of dental plans you would need in order to stay with their dental office.
If you are with a dental office that only accepts PPO dental plans then you may want to think about getting a dental PPO plan now so you have a plan in place for your future dental needs whether it for preventive dental care or major dental care.

Online Dental Insurance, ADA Codes on Individual Dental Plans.
Friday, Feb. 19th 2016 8:16 AM
Question: I am new to having to shop for dental insurance. I am 21 and never had good dental care when I was a child so now I am trying to get my teeth back into good shape. I called a few dental PPO plans I was told about but they could not confirm price for dental services until after I buy the plan. I was told that if I had ADA codes for the needed dental services I could get the true cost on individual dental plans. Where do I get this ADA Codes.
Reply: You would need to get the ADA codes (service codes for each individual dental service) from a dentist. If you already seen a dentist and was told what you needed to have done, the that office should be able to give you the ADA codes for the services they are advising you to have done.
If you have not seen the dentist but want to know this information prior to buying dental insurance then see if you can find a dentist that will provide you with a free to low cost consult if so you will then be able to get the ADA codes from the dental office at the time they do the exam

Online Dental Insurance, Reviewing Indemnity Dental Insurance Plans
Saturday, Feb. 13th 2016 7:57 AM
Indemnity dental insurance is an insurance package where the policyholder can choose his or her own dentist and the insurance provider will be the one to pay that designated dentist your fees or, usually, around half of them. Indemnity Dental insurance plans pays the dental office (dentist) on a traditional fee-for-service basis.
There are several features of indemnity dental insurance plans for individuals that make these plans different from many other types of dental coverage: Insurance providers will pay up to 100% of preventative dental care.
Unlike a dental PPO plan where if you go outside the plan network of providers your coverage limits may change on an Indemnity Dental plan there is no plan network provider and your coverages are the same regardless of what dentist you may wish to see. When reviewing an Indemnity Dental Insurance plan make sure you read the plan term and conditions because like a dental PPO these plans normally have waiting periods and annul dollar maximum limitations.
Individual Dental Insurance Plans Complaints.
Thursday, Feb. 11th 2016 7:54 AM
Question: My mom bought a dental plan thinking it was dental insurance from a website that stated they were selling dental insurance. She called her order and was told it was insurance but when we got the plan and I reviewed it it clearly show as a dental discount plan.
That upset me a little because I feel she was missed lead. The problem is she does not even know where she bought it from and did not save the phone number to who she called. I called the plan and they stated we could cancel and get a refund.
My mom did not want to cancel the plan since she wanted to see a dentist and therefore she choose to keep it. I was wondering if this happens a lot? It is the point of the matter and just wondering you do you speak to about this.
Reply: Well I could not speak about some other website that you do not recall. However it is not surprising they may have offer a dental discount plan along with dental insurance options. You can see on this site we are offing both dental discount plans along with several dental insurance options. However our dental discount plans clearly say that they are discount plans where our insurance plans will clearly let you know if it is a HMO, PPO or Indemnity dental insurance plan.
As for why they would tell you it is insurance when it was a discount plan I do not know. You should be able to call the plan member service line to find out what agent you bought the plan though and they should be able to provide you their phone number. It could be possible that there was some sort of miss understanding or lack of communication when your mom bought the plan. I would think at this point though it is mute if in fact your mom is happy with it and dose not want to cancel it due to the fact that her dentist takes it.
Online Dental Insurance, Washington Discount Dental Plans.
Tuesday, Feb. 9th 2016 7:42 AM
Question: I in Washington just looking for a way to off set my dental care cost with out it being a costly plan. I also do not want any deductibles since I have good teeth I only have preventive care done so why buy dental insurance just for that and have to have a deductibles. Are dental discount plans any good they seem to fit my needs but just wanted to confirm.
Answer: Dental discount plans are low cost plans that help you reduce your dental care needs just like what you are looking for. You would want to make sure you have dental provider in the plan you are reviewing because there is no savings if you do not go to dentist that take the plan. I suggest calling the dentist to confirm they still take the plan prior to buying it. From what you are stating you want it should work well for you
Online Dental Insurance, Individual Dental Plans in Florida.
Sunday, Feb. 7th 2016 9:32 AM
Question: I notice that Delta dental offers a free choice of dental provider plan as well as a lower cost dental HMO plan. I am just not sure which plan type is the best to get in the long run. Which saves the most money on dental care services since it will be a plan I will be keeping for a few years.
Reply: That would really depend on you own dental care needs. There PPO/Free choice of dental provider plans are great if you are wanting to stay with a current dental provider that is not a provider their HMO plan. Theses plans do have waiting periods, yearly maximum limitations and a deductible that you need to be aware of when buy any PPO/Free choice of provider plan.
Their HMO is clearly lower in cost with no waiting periods, yearly maximum limitations and a deductible, yet you need to choose a dentist within the plan network. There are no benefits for dentist that are not in the plan network of providers. So dental offices can be limited depending on where you live.
Online Dental Insurance, Individual Dental Plans PPO.
Friday, Feb. 5th 2016 8:22 AM
Question: When buying a dental PPO plan how do you know what your true cost for dental services really are? I am looking at the many dental PPO plans available in CA since my dentist only takes PPOs. However the ones I see show that pay 50 percent of major dental services up to UCR. Okay but how do I know the dentist is with in the company UCR fees if none of the plans I review shows what the amount is that they pay up too? How do I make sure not to get hit with UCR charges?
Reply: With PPO plans how to reduce your risk of not having UCR fees would be to see a dentist within your own zip code that is a plan provider. That is not to say you will not have UCR fees but by going to a plan dentist in your own rated area you greatly duce your risk of UCR fees. However with most PPO plans that pay by percentage they are all claims made so you do not know your cost until a claim is processed.
You can submit dental services as a quote only prior to have any dental work started so that you know just how much the company is going to pay and what is the remaining balance that will be left to you.
Also you may want to review PPO plans like AlwaysCare. Although they are a PPO they are one of the few that do pay by percentage but will tell you what they pay toward a given service.
