Seattle Washington: New Research reported in the October 2011 issue of the American Journal of Infection Control, is described as “the first study to characterize MRSA from dental clinic surfaces and dental students.”
Community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus infections is on the rise. The MRSA study was undertaken to determine whether MRSA could be isolated from frequently touched dental operator surfaces and clinic floors in different dental clinics within the (University of Washington) School of Dentistry.
