Online Dental, What to eat after dental surgery.

Thursday, Dec. 25th 2014 6:14 AM

Dental extractions can happen whether your an adult or a child.  One type of common dental extraction would be wisdom teeth.  Therefore knowing what you can eat after dental surgery is is helpful. Although many people think of foods such as gelatin, broth, baby food, milk shakes, applesauce and ice cream as standard fare following dental extractions, it hard maintaining a good nutritional diet solely on these type of food.

Yet, with a minimal amount of preparation, it is possible to eat a balanced and satisfying diet during your recuperation.   For your proteins food such as tofu, mashed and seasoned pinto beans and hummus are excellent sources of food that does not need much chewing. You can get your fruits and vegetables with such foods as applesauce, pureed bananas, pureed squash and sweet and white potatoes.  To supplement your nutritional needs. you can drink a glass of vegetable or unsweetened fruit juice    Also food such as oatmeal, cream of wheat and well cooked whole wheat pastas are not only nutritious but will add the grains and dairy for a more balance diet.
