Online Dental Insurance – Cold sore or Gum disease/
Question: For over a week, I have had this lighter color blister-looking thing on my mouth and gums. When I first saw it, I thought it was either a cold or a canker sore. But if that is what it is, would it not be gone by now? It does hurt me once in a while when I am eating or drinking anything too hot.
Should I see a dentist? I do not have dental insurance, so going to a dentist to check it out will be costly. I do not want to do that if it is only a cold sore that will go away given the time. What should I do?
Reply: I recommend buying dental insurance for your dental healthcare. It is essential to see a dentist at least twice yearly; insurance will make that fordable. With that said, you may want to see a dentist or a doctor about your mouth sore if you are worried about it. Cold sores can take a week or two before they go away.
